Channel It: A Creative Workshop

As creatives, we tend to wait for things to be better, for things to be brighter, for things to be right and aligned before we create our next masterpiece. What’s up with that? Whenever there’s a creative block, there’s something that is too tough to feel, too risky to share, too vulnerable to reveal. This is the art that must be put out.

There are so many people that know what this is, but we forget because that's the nature of trauma. It causes you to forget what you know so well.

At the “Channel It” creative workshop, we will drop in around what it means to create from your joy, and to create from your sadness, and grief. To create from all parts of who you are; dark, light, happy, sad. And we'll talk about the effect that that has on the mind, the body, the emotional body.

When you're having a bad day, how do you still create? How do you still move? How do you still live and exist on the planet even when you woke up on the wrong side?

Everything is fuel for creative expression, everything is usable. That's the whole point of art, to express a feeling or a thought, or an idea.  Through creative play, Sri Kala will create space for these hidden parts of ourselves to be felt, seen, and then we will write it, sing it, dance it.

In order to actualize what you want, there must be space from all the noise. Space from all the cycling of thoughts that go on when things are not expressed, or met, or felt. We have to create from those spaces, feel those spaces, and visit them in order to make room for us to create anything new.  Ready to join?
